When and where is it?
The Auburn Deer Rodeo Finale will be held on Saturday, December 5th, from 12:00 PM - 8:00 PM at Reynolds Outdoors in Opelika, Alabama.
Is there a cost to participate?
There is no required cost to participate. However, we encourage an optional $20 processing donation with each deer donated. This helps cover processing costs and automatically enters you into the raffle for outdoor prizes.
Can I still come if I don't harvest a deer?
Absolutely! There will be food, live music, sponsor booths, and plenty of opportunities to connect with others in the outdoor community. We want this to be a family-friendly event that everyone can enjoy.
Do I need a hunting license to participate?
Yes. All deer must be legally harvested in accordance with Alabama hunting regulations.
What do I need to donate a deer?
All donated deer must have a valid Alabama harvest record number. When you arrive at a participating processor, you'll complete a short donation form before the deer is accepted. The processor will provide the form and help ensure all required information is collected.
Can youth hunters participate?
Definitely! This is a family-friendly event, and we encourage young hunters to get involved and experience the joy of giving back through the outdoors.
Can I bring a buck or a doe?
Yes. Both bucks and does may be donated. All deer must be harvested legally and in accordance with Alabama deer hunting regulations.
How many raffle entries do I receive?
Participants receive one raffle entry for every deer donated.
Do I have to attend the finale to win?
Yes. Winners must be present at the finale event to claim prizes. If a winner is not present, another name will be drawn. Finale is at 7:00 PM CT at Reynolds Outdoors.
Where does the venison go?
All donated deer are distributed through Venison Provisions to help provide high-quality protein to families and individuals in need throughout Alabama.
